For so many people and companies the Covid-19 pandemic brought disruptions before unknown or experienced. Never before had a virus stopped our workload in mid-stream. Owners of projects were unsure about the future of their industries and when they might be allowed to reopen along with their concern was the concern of contractors for the safety of their workers who sometimes have to work quite closely together depending on the project. This particular project demolition was for a cinema in Alton, IL that was put on hold for a few weeks until the owners felt like the virus was getting more under control and they could see a future again where if the remodel was done correctly & to the most current specs for social distancing & safety, that people would be allowed to again share a favorite American pastime; watching a movie in a theatre. We at Midwest Service Group are so very happy and excited that the owners of theatre are moving forward with their demolition & full scale remodeling plan. It gives all of us hope and something to look forward to as we work on this project and soon will be witnessing the construction phase begin to take place. You can bet all of us will be eager to be among the first to go to this new theatre when it opens for business!
