This project was the site of a massive explosion during the normal plant operations almost 10 years earlier. Midwest Service Group was contracted to clean-up over 1,200,000+ sq ft of asbestos contamination after the explosion at the plastic plant. The material abated at this plant was a variety of transite siding, pipe & tank insulation, asbestos containing roofing, and flooring. This area had to be picked by hand to insure all the asbestos debris was properly cleaned-up and disposed of in an EPA approved landfill.
This project was completed in only 13 weeks and with heavy EPA and 3rd party oversight.
