Total interior demolition and asbestos abatement were required prior to demolition of the old Roosevelt Center (the largest high school in the United States when it was built), due to its 250,000 plus square feet of asbestos-containing plaster building materials and 16,000 plus linear feet of pipe insulation.
This was a project that was bid by only a small fraction of the contractors that originally walked through due to the manpower requirements necessary to complete this project on schedule.
